Akisol
* Description :
Akisol (Trihexyphenidyl HCl) is a synthetic antispasmodic drug which exerts a direct inhibitory effect upon the parasympathetic nervous system. It also has a relaxing effect on smooth muscles. Akisol is well absorbed from the GIT after oral administration, with a rapid onset of action within 1hr.
* Indications :
Akisol is used for treatment of:
-All forms of parkinsonism (postencephalitic, arteriosclerotic and idiopathic).
-Control of extrapyramidal disorders caused by central nervous system drugs such as the dibenzoxazepines, henothiazines, thioxanthenes and butyrophenones.
* Presentation* :
Akisol-2 Tablets: Each tablet contains Trihexyphenidyl Hydrochloride USP 2 mg. Blister packs of 100 tablets
Akisol-5 Tablets: Each tablet contains Trihexyphenidyl Hydrochloride USP 5 mg. Blister packs of 100 tablets & hospital packs different sizes are available
